  • Worsted Weight Yarn in 3 colors - CA, CB, CC
  • Crochet Hook Size I (5.5mm)
  • Stitch markers

STITCHES USED
  • sl st – slip stitch
  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • hdc - half double crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • tr – triple crochet 
  • fphdc – front post half double crochet
  • fpdc – front post double crochet
    • lsc – long single crochet - Insert hook in indicated st or row, pull up loop to height of working row, yo, pull through both loops on hook.

DIRECTIONS


Round 1: With CA ch4, 15dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch4. 16Dc

Round 2: sl st to sp between joining st & next st, ch4 counts dc & ch1, * dc in between next 2 sts, ch1 * 15 times. Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch4. Fasten Off. NOTE: You will not be working in any st from round 1 – you will be working between them. 16dc, 16ch1 sp

Round 3: With CB join with a sc in any dc, * working in front of ch1 - 2dc in st of round 1, sc in next st from rnd 2 * 16 times omitting the last sc. Join with a sl st to top of 1st sc. Fasten Off 16sc, 32dc

Round 4: With CA join with a sc in 1st dc of 2dc group of rnd 3, sc in same as joining, sc next st, * (fpdc around dc of rnd 2) 2sc in next st, sc in next st * 15 times then ( ) once. Join with a sl st in top 1st sc. 48 sc, 16fpdc

Round 5: sl st to next fpdc of rnd 4, ch6 counts as dc & ch3, sk 3 sts, * dc in next st, ch3, sk 3 sts * 15 times. Join with a sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch6. Fasten Off. 16dc, 16 ch3 sps

Round 6: With CC join with sc in 1st dc of rnd 5, * working in front of ch3 sp – dc in next 3 sts you skipped of rnd 5, sc in next st * 16 times omitting last sc. Join with a sl st to top of 1st sc. Fasten Off. 48dc, 16sc

Round 7: With CA join with a sc in any 1st dc of 3dc group of rnd 6, sc in next 2 sts, * (fphdc around dc of rnd 6), sc next 3 sts * 15 times then ( ) once more. Join with a sl st to top of 1st sc. 48Sc, 16fphdc

Round 8: sl st to next fphdc, ch4 counts as tr, tr, ch2, 2tr in same st, * (tr next st, dc next 3 sts, hdc next 2 sts, sc next 3 sts, hdc next 2 sts, dc next 3 sts, tr next st), 2tr, ch2, 2tr in next st * 3 times then ( ) once more.
